Slab Formwork
After the plumbing and electrical pipes have  been installed.  It is now ready for the slab  formwork to be set up.  This can be constructed by carpenters or concretors  with the use of steel droppers, metal brackets and timber, or the boxing could be made out of metal or form ply.
The picture below is of a brick veneer construction ,and as you can see the boxing on the bottom is the out side dimensions of the house to be built and at the top boxing Is forming a rebate for the brickwork to Sit on.  In most cases, the rebate will be 150 mm to Suit 110mm Brickwork  and a 40 mm cavity.
The depth of the rebate will depend on what types of bricks are to be used in most cases.  It is two brick rebate.
The top of the boxing Is the FFL height of the house, which means the finished floor level.
"The boxing or slab formwork is stripped away a couple of hours after the concrete has set or even the next day"
