Stepping Strip Footings
When strip footings are used on sloping sites, it is often necessary to step the footing down the slope ,on gently sloping sites. The bottom of the trench can be allowed to slope up to 6°, or one in 10. But the top of the footing still needs to be level and stepped. The height of the steps ideally should suit brick courses to minimize any brick cutting when laying the base brickwork. Footing systems |
